This week we are focusing on our IP Manager, Alan Tibbatts.
Using his technical, business and law qualifications, Alan has developed IP management skills to help businesses identify, protect and exploit their valuable IP. He is currently adding his value to Salinity Solutions by developing a strong IP portfolio to protect the technical advances the team is making, which differentiate us from competitors.
Career highlights include developing patent portfolios that have successfully raised millions in investment and grant funding and completing a patent licensing deal worth $5M with a major aircraft manufacturer.
The most important thing for Alan outside of work is his family. He also loves music and has played piano since he started learning at 7 years old. He also enjoys MotoGP, cycling, working on his classic motorcycles, and riding them on the rare occasions they are actually running!
